Special New Child Care Unit
Special Newborn Care Units (SNCUs) have been established at Victoria hospital with an annual delivery load of more than 3000.
It is a separate unit with 12 or more beds that are near the labour room and is administered by appropriately qualified doctors, staff nurses, and support personnel to provide services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
One of the objectives is to provide the best neonatal care and to reduce the infant mortality rate.
